Education Ministry

Sunday School

Sunday school has been the driving force of discipleship for years. Whether you are a child or an adult, there is a class offered for you each Sunday morning before worship service from 8:45am to 9:45am. Because Sunday school has been a part of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church since her beginning, we all take this special hour for granted. Indeed, our goal in these classes is for you to ELEVATE . . . to set you minds on things above and become more like Christ. The greatest benefit of this special hour is everyone has a place. If you have a baby or one year old, a nursery is available for your child. If you have a preschooler, we have special preschool classes for them. If you have a teenager, they can attend their class in the Student Center. If you are a twenty something, there is a special College and Career class designed just for you. If you are an adult, there are several small groups available for you to study God’s word. Several of these adult small groups are co-ed. However, we do also offer two different women’s classes and one men’s class.

Mid-Week

Again, Mid-Week Education is our total discipleship ministry., and the anchor of that ministry is the traditional Sunday school hour which takes place on Sunday morning before worship service. However, some just cannot make it to that early hour before worship on Sundays. Whether it is because of work or because your body just cannot adjust to getting up that early on a Sunday, the 8:45am hour is just not your hour to be involved in a small group.

Thus, we offer Mid-Week . . . Mid-Week meets on Wednesdays in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. The evening begins at 5:00pm with Wednesday Supper. Then, we break off into our small groups at 6:00pm . . .

6:00pm-7:00pm - Adult Prayer Meeting, and Adult Bible Study Classes
6:00pm-7:30pm - AWANA (Preschool/Children), Youth Worship, Adult Choir Bible Study and Rehearsal

Commit to be a part of a small group at LABC so you can ELEVATE your life and strive to become more like Christ!
